there is (right now) a very slight uptrend at the base of the 4hr candle (which is about to open a fresh one) it's likely it will trace down a little, but then should close out the session on the rise (the US are aware the Asian market had been very bullish about gold, so it's presume able they will close their shorts and open longs)

@Gareth All the major banks have their operations all over the world. Now their branches at US are shorting and in Asia are taking the longs. In order to maintain the balance, the cycle reverses. :)

exactly Kish, obviously the US have the major weight, but right now we can assume with a higher than average probability that the Asian market will continue to try to push up the price. the US just destroy the market pretty much - even with analysis of high/low point, when one 15min candle raises the price $13 and then subsequent candles pull it back $23 can be very difficult to navigate, therefore day trade because there is little to no flow of activity (ceilings break very easily one minute, then seem absolutely no power within them the next). best advice for this semi-volatile patch is to pinpoint areas, and trade up and down from and to each. it now seems daily candle closes are paramount to identify possibilities of following days trade due to the above as tomorrows range a few hours ago was shaping up to be completely different...

tomorrow is shaping up as though we are going to be seeing a low point of 63 and high of 88. todays points were quite accurate (93 became closer to 95 and 73 so far has been the low). closing above 78 is essential (remember not the session, but the daily candle) otherwise that would be a ceiling (I'm confident the Asian market will do so). likely 88 will precede the low point, and from that I expect a rise setting up Friday for the weekly high point (1803, tomorrow should be the low point). I would refrain from getting too excited about that , as the following week we have many routes to lower prices than this week.

in my opinion, these levels now should be the immediate low (bear in mind we can have minor retracement). personally, I will trade 1775 with an SL of 72 and a TP of 88. then, I will short from 88 with an SL of 94 and a TP of 63.5. then it all depends on the time to which the low point is reached. if there are a few hours at least left to trade then I will go long from 63 with an SL of 59 and an immediate TP of 1803 (however I will double check the TP area upon tomorrow's close as this is subject to change). those are my trades, I'm not advocating you follow them and certainly not without researching the areas of my entry/SL/TP also as there are no guarantees they will be successful - especially if we trade down from opening (whilst I sleep...)

* also, as expected we are now trading up a little, this now opens up a viable floor again on 73. this is an upward floor which also ties to a plausible weekly trendline. therefore, if it shows support again tomorrow, likely 63 will not be reached this week, and so shorts should be prepared for this also

* in mind of the short and my post below, regarding the short from 88, I will watch for 73 immediately, and if reached, I will move SL down to 75 in case 73 holds and is reversed upon. this then, would be an entry for my long, with 71 the SL. if 73 is breached then and my SL hit, I will look for 63 (not necessarily short from there as likely it would be out of position) and if so, make my long from there

E Current Gold:WTIC Ratio Suggests *Gold Is About To Soar*By Lorimer WilsonWednesday, June 23, 2021 1:48 PM EDTHistorically, the gold:oil (WTIC) ratio has averaged between 10:1 and 30:1 and has been a reliable indicator of when to invest in oil and when to invest in gold over the past 120 years. So what is it saying these days? The gold:oil (WTIC) ratio tells us how many barrels of West Texas Intermediate Crude (WTIC) are needed to buy one troy ounce of gold, serving as a price-based indicator of the relative value of these two important assets.Traditional investing mantra tells says that gold appreciates in price during tumultuous economic and financial times and it did just that with the advent of COVID-19, jumping from $1,550 per troy ounce (ozt.) in January 2020 to $2,070/ozt. (+33.5%) in August 2020 at the height of the pandemic before declining 14% to its current $1,775/ozt. as the third wave of infections slowly dissipated.Conversely, a slowdown in economic activity resu

I only hold physical gold and I think you have to be crazy to trade gold futures because of the manipulation. New vaccine, Gold is shorted. Higher bond yields, Gold is shorted. Higher DXY, Gold is shorted. Fed cannot actually raise interest rates but bluffs that they are planning to, Gold is shorted.
