  • Dax running out of steam, next stop 15250 by tomorrow ir Monday....
    4
    • my rationale being, Evergrande has committed to make int. payments on it's debt, Fed hawkish sentiment being dismissed, central banks irrationally putting economy and general all round positivity and shrugging shoulders at bad news.

    • Poor Decision - you can ask 100 people and you will get 100 different answers. For me it is all about the state of the US of A and other negative headlines for the economy in general. Inflation, Earnings and also the central banks cannot keep pumping forever. We now know why they do it? for their own personal gain.

    • Evergrande is just a non recurrent issue which may or may not be the catalyst to the next market meltdown. The other issues I have answered about q/e... How has that helped the jobs market? But the positve news for me it made a lower on Monday low which is bearish.... not a sprint, but time will hopefully show that we are going to be in a bear market for some time to come

    • Markets don't seem to care too much about a hawkish Fed. It seems it wants to continue back up.

      • I won't say there was anything hawkish about yesterday's comments but a carefully orchestrated choice of words not to rattle the market in my own personal opinion.

    • The Federal Reserve has discussed the suitable pace of tapering once economic conditions have been met, central bank's Chair Jerome Powell stated on Wednesday, noting that that finishing the process by the middle of next year is "likely to be appropriate."

      • Ahmed BA Knowing that the resistance of 15550 is strongly tested at the moment. A retracement to 15350 is however to be expected if we stick to technical analysis. If we break the 15550, the target will be 15700, if the support of 15350 breaks, we can return to test the 15000

      • Chenevis CamsCorrect, closing under 15500 tonight might indicate it’s more chance we heading down.

      • Ahmed BA A correction yes, but perhaps not yet a downward direction. The bulls have shown their power in the last two days. It's going to take a big announcement to get them to turn around. They have one goal, to take their profit as high as possible!

              • 15050 act like a big sold wall then 15000 after. breaking those expect a water fall, but if they didn’t break that will be it. As I mentioned last week keep an eye for the 22nd this will be the key for either way. I did warn everyone last week it was getting ready to break. hope no one stuck.
                0
                • Let's hope you are right about the two solid walls, they have been stubborn all day. Anything happening on the 22nd? J.Powell speech regarding Tapering

                  • I am starting to suspect that the banks may be exposed in this Evergrand racket. Deautche Bank is down nearly 7% today. Gord knows what other instituation is involved!! Could be 2008 all over again!!!

                  • Tim Clarke - We are always the last to know! We are surrounded by so many bubbles that if one pops then the holes amd gaps will be appearing. They are going to need more than pollyfilla to sort this one out! This could be the catalyst that the Bears are looking for... 2008 who knows Tim?
