Does any one here believe the market will crash this month? Maybe as soon as tomorrow? There seems to be growing concern about artificial growth, high debt, increasing prices, labour shortages, evergrande loan default. Maybe the bubble will burst!

I'm not expecting any crashes, but I do think the ftse will give back some of its 2% rise last week. The Dow had a good week to the upside and is due a retrace which will put pressure on the ftse, all on my opinion.

Hey Nick..you was fretting with 100K in the red yesterday and the market has since gone up further so did your loss increase to 130k+ . In your recent posts you said you've been shorting from 7128 but today you are short from 7172, that's probably a 50k hit you took today...or thereabouts??? You win some and lose some, thats trading for ya

I was 100k down at 7233 so not much has changed right now. And I've currently taken absolutely no hit at all. My position is underwater, yes, but no loss so far apart from overnight fees over the weekend (which is the cost of doing business). Let's see where we are come Tues cop.

why put such a tight stop on it at that level when most likely will hit 7250 then if it does it overnight the bookmakers spread is wider so you will be stopped out

oh....and if you're NOT in a position right now - DAX shorts? Start building? It'll see 200 again within 2 weeks. Easiest 400 pips plus you'll ever make. IMO.

Hi guys! uncomfortable day for some it appears, reading through the comments....If you've got your sizing right, this is a fantastic opportunity to load up on shorts. Average volume over the past 3 sessions and the chart speaks for itself. Expecting a retest of 7120/30 some point next week. Might go above 7250 first but I will be waiting when it dips back to cash in. I won't go into position size but I will say that I added £750pp at 7241 this morning. If you can look at the chart and the indicators and say with your hand on heart that this won't retest 7150 minimum in the next 1-10 sessions, then go long. There was a great comment on here a couple of days ago (Steve?) that something like - 'when it goes to 6950 everyone says "it'll never be above 7000 again! We're all doomed!" and when it goes above 7100 everyone says 'It'll never be below 7000 again! we're all doomed!"Markets go up.....then they retrace to some extent. Markets go down.....then they retrace to some extent. If you're short from 6950 then you might be taking a loss or waiting for a bit of time but I think some people on here are worried about being short from 7140..... I'm short from 7172 now and I can tell you that I am not worried. Off out for dinner. Good weekend all.

It's looking at this that was like oh... That breach of the 200 day fits. When it made that move in April it didn't go back. This is what IMHO is being sensibly suggested. That's why I'm being super cautious and just waiting. Yeah maybe it'll turn out to be cowardice. Rather sleep soundly this weekend. https://www.google.com/amp/s/https://m.uk.investing.com/analysis/chart-of-the-day-ftse-breaks-out-200499611?ampMode=1

Dave - I think it's absolutely right to be happy to sleep soundly and it's definitely prudence not cowardice but be careful reading any single article and buying into it, especially if it's written by an absolute nobody. Equities breakout, but I'm not so sure indices made up of 100 components do. There will be a retrace on profit taking, commodities pullback, bad news etc. Think about every other time it's gone above 7180.... easy 150 pips. This was 7080 on Wednesday.... what's changed? Some us banks have had good earnings? Shocker. Low volume moves - don't buy into them. Rug pull coming up. DAX getting hit hardest.
