Comment Guidelines

We encourage you to use comments to engage with users, share your perspective and ask questions of authors and each other. However, in order to maintain the high level of discourse we’ve all come to value and expect, please keep the following criteria in mind:

  • Enrich the conversation
  • Stay focused and on track. Only post material that’s relevant to the topic being discussed.
  • Be respectful. Even negative opinions can be framed positively and diplomatically.

Actually there is some goodish news underpinning the US markets today with the iPhone wizards being declared a 'buy', strong data and US/China trade talks in the news + bond yields moderating - what's not to like at these levels?!

Suspect the US mm's have pulled the indexes down to around S1 pivot support to create a nice upside trade to fill the gap up to yesterdays closing price. Don't know if the Brexit blues will allow the FTSE to participate?!

Could see some major market reactions including Tijuana immigrants and Trump, along with the trade war, Trumps tantrums with the press, potential interest rate rises, death cross small caps Resignations , leadership challenge, it's all adding up to one of those 27% non rally at this time year events

The FTSE and US indexes forming neat triangles of uncertainty (10 min chart) I suspect a break to the downside, but clearly it could go either way.

General election possibly combined with a 2nd referendum before Christmas. Would be a big market mover, and I'd say 'up' out of sheer relief!!
