Either the drop was a bear trap or this is a bull trap.... Or it's just a choppy old month!  Lets see.  If I see dax above 600 and ftse above 7100 though... It's shorting time. Big profits for a bit of patience.

Because its only .2 per cent or flat the FSTE does not mean dow dax cannot hold their gains as FSTE has had a strong relative gain.

How do we see this ftse now, Dow as rallied up to around +430 but ftse hasn't really.put much on since Dow was up around +220 to me this shows a weakening ftse, if Dow falls back I would think ftse will follow just as fast or even faster, just my opinion though

Brian - I think this is logical and how I see it. But don't forget pound is very strong today and this may change tomorrow. I think that in the next 3 trading sessions we are very likely to see 7020 and likely to see 7000. We could easily see 7130 again and maybe 7150. 7180 I'd be surprised and rather upset! :)  Watch us later - might be a sting in the tail.... I don't think the drop is anywhere near done.

Just came across this, looks like UK banks not exposed! LONDON, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Bank of England Deputy Governor Sam Woods said on Thursday that Britain's banks have no major exposures to Evergrande and he does not expect the troubled Chinese property group to "go badly wrong". "The direct exposures of the UK banks and insurance companies to Evergrande are not material, so it's really not a concern in the first round effect," Woods told Reuters.

The Chinese corporate bonds would have been an attractive investment, so while debt may not be an issue various Investment Houses are bound to hav a change in fortune....State ownership is the only out IMO...

I need 56 right now for b/e. If it falls to 7000 then I'll feel better about the whole thing.  I've made some pips on dax today but overall only about £1k's worth.
