Following on from the 7900 short that I closed at 7500, I have now closed the 7500 long at 7650 and now I'm heading back down the other way. The Saudi's cutting oil production is an initial positive for the FTSE today but it won't help inflation, so I'm calling a relatively tight trading range of 7450 to 7650 over the next few months. I may be wrong but II'm prepared to risk some of my profits to follow my gut feelings.

I think it's heading back up there too. If we see it I will close my 7440 long and open a short.

Triple whammy bullish potential here. Ukraine news could get better and better, inflation dropping & fed pause

Been away for a while fighting a legal case that I should just have settled as the law is an absolute arse!!!!! I was at fault for 25% but because the claiment won on 25% I ended up picking up the costs which were a disgusting value! I had bad advise from the Lawyer who didn't tell me to put in a Part 36 offer but overall I would say the British legal system only works for people wih deep pockets. Anyway time to move forward and make some money. What is the sentiment on the market here??

What was it all about? Car crash? It amuses me how they call it 'court' but really it should be called 'caught'! My advice - avoid the place at all costs!

Hellish. The only winners are lawyers charging in 6 minute units at £300+ an hour

I wrote a reply to this message and dropped the D word (ending in is cord) - looks like it got deleted - so add that to the list of reasons I don't post here as much anymore! Easy for spammers to post here but legitimate users face constant issues!

Not so sure about a rocket move here. The debt ceiling stuff was 99% always a matter of when rather than if a deal was approved so yes expecting a bit of a bounce on US open but not sure how long term the impact will be. Can't really see anything much over 7570-80. Would not be surprised to see 7500 again on Monday. I am out all out at the moment so no biase from my positions.

Looks like I am going to be proved wrong. Tempted by a short if we get over 7600. Any views from TA experts?

Not a TA expert but I won't be shorting until 7750 or above. The only reason for this is that the FTSE keeps defying the odds / fundamentals and keeps pushing higher.

Admittedly, I hadn't expected it to shoot up as it did today. Seems to be driven by the DAX more than anything
