      • Should see a nice uptick to around 3.10 on those results, back to 3.30 in a few weeks.

        • *oil majors. I don't get why there is such a discrepancy. I believe US oils majors are like twice as expensive per cash flow or something. And BP, Shell have brought themselves in good positions by firm corona measures earlier this year.
          1
        • Richard Schoonhovenyep no idea, the price was 20% higher in the midst of the pandemic last year when no vaccine was available, total uncertainty as to when a recovery could happen. Now with more than 5 or so in use and many more being phased in surely a path to recovery is in sight. When i saw these results it seemed a clear buy signal, oh well my average is still 295, I will continue to add more as and when I can :)

        • Richard SchoonhovenI agree the discepancy between the US and UK oil companies is farcical. Exxon looks overpriced while BP and Shell look bargains

      • No value at 300p wait for the price to drop-I've set a target price of sub 275 then buy back in... Oild is rising and BP not responding maybe not "agile enough" better value with Ukoil&Gas (up 30%) and bahamas pet, scirocco oil etc...

            • BP are buying their own shares. That must mean they have loads of cash and kind find nothing else to invest in. Hence their proposal to invest in green energy to be net carbon zero by 2050 is more BS.

              • they are purchasing green energy factories in Midlands. ones my friends work in?

              • Share price is going up... Why wouldn't BP buy them back? Resell in 6 months gives more investment capital, don't you think? This tactic also reduces supply which also increases SP.I get the logic here.

                        • oil price and market demand with opening economy makes any short term trade a speculation... could end up costing you more than gains if you don't buy back in quick enough. BP was some 500gbx before the government decided to close the world due to seasonal flu

                            • RAJ PATEL After a year like this, would you have expected a lower debt level? Anyway this a capital intensive industry, things will improve and those who invested at 200-250 will have a great year in 2021. BP is still cheap btw.

                            • RAJ PATELThey wrote down assets that really are worth their weight in gold... but just like gold is underpriced, they are a strong earner. Earnings season will boost this one. STRONG BUY -  380-400GBX
