Reliance Insurance Company Limited engages in the general insurance business in Pakistan. It operates through four segments: Fire and Property, Marine Aviation and Transport, Motor, and Miscellaneous. The company offers fire insurance, which covers fire and lightning, and strike damage, malicious damage, atmospheric disturbance, earthquake fire and shock, explosion, impact damage, and aircraft damage; marine cargo insurance and marine hull insurance; motor insurance and accidental death cover for drivers; and miscellaneous insurance, such as money insurance, burglary insurance, fidelity guarantee, household insurance, baggage insurance, product and third party liability, professional indemnity policy, and workman compensation and employer’s liabilities insurance. It also provides engineering insurance, including all risk cover (CAR) insurance, erection all risk insurance, marine-cum-erection insurance and storage, machinery breakdown insurance, contractors plant and equipment insurance, boiler and pressure vessel explosion insurance, low voltage and computer insurance, deterioration of stock insurance, and loss of profits following machinery breakdown. In addition, the company offers bond and surety insurance comprising performance bond, customs and excise bond, supply bond, retention money bond, and mobilization bond/advance payment bond; terrorism insurance and aviation insurance; and Takaful insurance products consisting of fire, marine cargo, motor, miscellaneous, engineering, and terrorism. Reliance Insurance Company Limited was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan.
