The company offers payment acceptance, software, cash management, lending, and alternative digital product solutions to community and corporate customers; banking, lending, and insurance solutions to consumers, principally recipients of social welfare grants; and payment processing, prepaid solutions, and bill payment infrastructure connecting enterprises to consumers and businesses. It serves corporate and government organizations, including banks, mobile network operators, and municipalities. The company was formerly known as Net 1 UEPS Technologies, Inc. and changed its name to Lesaka Technologies, Inc. in May 2022. Lesaka Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.
