Aker Company Profile
Aker ASA operates as an industrial investment company in Norway, Europa, North America, South America, and internationally. The company operates in two segments: Industrial Holdings and Financial Investments. It is involved in exploration and production of oil and gas; provision of solutions, products, and engineering services to the energy industry; development of renewable energy and green technologies; and provision of vessels to global offshore energy markets. In addition, the company develops and supplies krill-based products, and health and nutrition products; harvests krill for ingredients for human and animal nutrition; and farms salmon. Further, it offers Cognite Data Fusion, which collects, structures, and models industrial data throughout the value chain that enables users to share data between partners and suppliers in real time; and digital twin software for the digital representation of physical assets. Additionally, the company provides other listed investments, cash holdings, asset management, interest-bearing receivables, and other equity investments and assets, as well as engages in real estate activities. The company was founded in 1841 and is based in Lysaker, Norway. Aker ASA operates as a subsidiary of TRG Holding AS.
