S.C. Caromet S.A. manufactures and sells railway rolling stocks, hydro-mechanical equipment, and welded assemblies in Romania. The company provides locomotive bogies and rolling stock spare parts for various types of electric, diesel, and hydraulic locomotives; and bogies for rail cars, tramways, and undergrounds, as well as overhauls for various types of bogies. It also offers steel constructions for industrial buildings and boilers; cut-off plates, cofferdams, embedded parts, and racks; and welded assemblies, such as steel structures, casings, gas ducts, lifting devices, and railway and road bridges. The company was founded in 1969 and is based in Caransebes, Romania. S.C. Caromet S.A. is a subsidiary of S.C. Iasitex S.A.
