time to buy.
How to find face/par value per share?
Why the big drop?
Munich selling their shares stake
thanks.
i think because direct line dropping their dividend. annoying when it affects another company! shame when ADM had a broker upgrade yesterday.
What time is earnings today?
To qualify for a dividend you must hold the relevant security on its ex-dividend date. If it's an individual share, you need to hold the stock at the market open on the ex-dividend date. This means in real terms you must have purchased it by the market close on the previous day. Therefore, after 8am on the ex-dividend date you are able to sell the stock and still qualify for the dividend, whether you sell it on the same date or afterwards.
hi
Earnings were announced and the company stated "solid earnings"; however, there was a big drop in earnings if compared to the same period last year. The total dividend declared for September will be 105, which is slightly less than 118 paid in June. I hope the price pullback a little so I can buy more at a discount price
I bought some shares today at 1,745... I wish I had bought yesterday at 1,712 but I had no funds yestrday. Still quite cheap. 25% drop in a week is oversold territory, it will have to bounce back on the upcoming days/weeks. Anyway, I am here for the juice dividends
The earnings call this time will all be about can they pay/sustain dividend or not.
MAx you did well at that price
Yhoo and google note the dividend is 5-6%… it notes on here that it’s 14%. Hmm
HL: On the HL platform, we have the dividend yield for Admiral Group as 6.91% (at the time of this message), however, this percentage is subject to change as it is based on the last reported annual dividend (excluding Special Dividends) and the current Buy Price of the stock.Other platforms or sources may display the dividend yield differently, which may include the special dividend payment in their calculations. If you wish to use the calculation we use on our platform, you would need to take the annual declared dividend minus the special dividends and divide this by the current buy price. For example:Annual Declared dividend (no Special): 130.1pCurrent Buy Price (at time of message): 1885.50p130.1 / 1885.50 x 100 = 6.91% (rounded up)If you choose to include the special dividends into the calculation, it would be:- Annual Declared dividend (inc Special): 279.0p- Current Buy Price (at time of message): 1885.50p279 / 1885.50 x 100 = 14.80% (rounded up).
Caught the falling knife at 1917. Bit of a flutter, prob a mistake.
We’ll see what comes Nicholas - with a 12% annual dividend it’s worth a go.
Was also a good price John, I paid a little more than you but very good potential.
I agree. Going to keep it for 10-20 years anyway.
No buyers jumping in
Nice price, but chart shows no signs of a turnaround… what to do.
mamimum chart causes concern.

I like the tip though, I’m a bit of a 4.29 guy too lol
Down 30% in the last twelve months, have they reached bottom? Dividend a whopping 12%, surely a long term buy now and hold for gold?
make Value
Good company, slow and steady growth, decent dividend and have faired well throughout this year. Definitely a must have for a long term investor.
