Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Information Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.98% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which rose 8.47% or 4.90 points to trade at 62.75 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 3.43% or 0.88 points to end at 26.52 and Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) was up 2.99% or 1.42 points to 48.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included 1000 Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:BINHO), which lost 7.58% or 23.75 points to trade at 289.75 in late trade. Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) declined 4.82% or 1.04 points to end at 20.54 and Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR) shed 4.57% or 1.30 points to 27.14.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 426 to 140 and 12 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.38% or 36.35 to $2,675.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.69% or 0.52 to hit $75.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.59% or 0.47 to trade at $78.93 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.39% to 34.29, while EUR/TRY rose 0.27% to 37.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 102.60.
