Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Software & Computer Services and Support Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Relx PLC (AS:REL), which rose 1.90% or 0.82 points to trade at 43.94 at the close. Prosus (AS:PRX) added 1.62% or 0.55 points to end at 34.21 and Exor NV (AS:EXOR) was up 1.54% or 1.50 points to 98.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which lost 3.90% or 4.35 points to trade at 107.25 in late trade. ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) declined 1.83% or 0.30 points to end at 16.09 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) shed 1.16% or 0.51 points to 43.49.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 52 to 45 and 10 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.55% or 1.10 to $69.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.28% or 0.94 to hit $72.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 8.75 to trade at $2,654.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.57% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.57.
