Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which rose 3.25% or 16.80 points to trade at 534.50 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 1.94% or 120.00 points to end at 6,320.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 1.53% or 39.00 points to 2,592.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE), which lost 8.02% or 250.00 points to trade at 2,866.00 in late trade. NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) declined 3.98% or 2,600.00 points to end at 62,800.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) shed 2.46% or 29.00 points to 1,152.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 261 to 199 and 78 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.48% or 0.33 to $69.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.34% or 0.25 to hit $73.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 18.65 to trade at $2,649.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.01% to 3.74, while EUR/ILS fell 0.69% to 3.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 106.78.
