Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC), which rose 1.08% or 0.74 points to trade at 69.18 at the close. Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) added 0.86% or 0.32 points to end at 37.56 and Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) was up 0.66% or 0.48 points to 72.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI), which lost 2.14% or 1.18 points to trade at 53.96 in late trade. Aedifica (EBR:AOO) declined 1.61% or 0.95 points to end at 58.15 and Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) shed 1.60% or 8.80 points to 542.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 65 to 31 and 15 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.24% or 6.50 to $2,742.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.53% or 1.76 to hit $71.25 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.34% or 1.71 to trade at $74.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 103.79.
