United Overseas Insurance Limited engages in the underwriting general insurance business in Singapore, ASEAN countries, and internationally. The company provides personal insurance products, including accident protection, domestic helper, home, content, motor, and travel insurance products. It also offers commercial general insurance products, such as fire, business interruption, machinery/equipment all risks, burglary/theft, money, marine cargo, fidelity guarantee, plate glass, public liability, work injury compensation, group personal accident, other all risks, and group business/corporate travel insurance products, as well as insurance for small and medium sized enterprise. In addition, the company offers directors’ and officers’ insurance; contractors’ all risks/erection all risks insurance; professional indemnity insurance; and Takaful, an Islamic financial assurance to address misfortunes, accidents, or disasters. The company was incorporated in 1971 and is headquartered in Singapore. United Overseas Insurance Limited operates as a subsidiary of United Overseas Bank Limited.
