Business is not in a strong position to negotiate pay deals at the moment. RM should improve the offer on the table and pass on cost increases to the consumer. Inflation is neutral if pay and prices rise together. Only the Central banks can stop it by increasing interest rates or decreasing liquidity.

Nothing wrong with the company, short sellers are trying to push a big private investor to dump his holdings. This is a good long term buy and hold opportunity.
Good inflation proof stock. People need to send mail still they control the price. Long hold for me.

total opposite now I cashed out. Service gone into the toilet. Strikes have killed it. I send a lot and when I saw the recent price increases compared to competition I've lost all confidence in it. I rang royal mail to ask why my parcel wasn't even attempted to be delivered "oh sometimes they just mark attempted delivery and return it to depot. If customer doesn't contact us we return it to sender within 10 days". The customer didn't even get a piece of paper to say they had a parcel at the depot... great service that is £6 for my parcel to do a big boomerang. If I was striking I'd be in the job search because to me companies already dead. Funny to see how I changed my mind in 6 months was based on a decent service I used so I thought I'll invest in it and hope others do the same based on how good the service is....

Always buy the dip.. if you've missed the boat just wait till it comes back or hop on another boat. I think so many of these shares have just lost touch with reality but it's all a mind game anyway. Just someone selling expensive to someone who thinks they are getting a good deal never can tell who will be the winner. I think Royal mail have a bright future I've been waiting for the boat to come back so I'm happy it's dropping..
