The Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited provides general insurance services in Pakistan. It operates through four segments: Fire and Property Damage; Marine, Aviation, and Transport; Motor; and Others. The Fire and Property Damage segment comprising fire, riot, explosion, flood, and other coverage. The Marine, Aviation, and Transport segment offers coverage against cargo risk, war risk, and in inland transit. The Motor segment provides car coverage and indemnity against third party loss. The Other segment includes crops, live stocks, engineering, etc. It is also involved in the reinsurance business. The Company was formerly known as The Pakistan Life and General Insurance Company and changed its name to The Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited in 1972. The Company was incorporated in 1947 and is based in Lahore, Pakistan.
