The company offers deposits, including current, ordinary, notice deposits, time, installment savings, tax reserve, and non-resident yen deposits; loans on bills, loans on deeds, and overdrafts; discounts on bank bills, commercial bills, and bills of lading; and invests in government bonds, local government bonds, corporate bonds, stocks, and other securities. It also engages in the domestic exchange business activities, which include handling remittance exchanges, current account transfers, and collections; foreign exchange business activities, including various operations related to exports, imports, foreign remittances, and other foreign exchange; bond entrustment and registration business; agency business; provision of public money handling services for local governments; trust agency and safe deposit box business; and securities lending, as well as debt guarantee and registered financial institution business; insurance business; commercial paper handling and syndication business; pension plans; and M&A brokerage businesses. In addition, it is involved in the provision of leasing, credit guarantee, credit card, and other related services; and provides management consulting services. The company was incorporated in 1932 and is headquartered in Miyazaki, Japan.
