Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Transport and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which rose 9.97% or 41.50 points to trade at 457.75 at the close. Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT) added 9.97% or 200.00 points to end at 2,207.00 and Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) was up 4.22% or 0.49 points to 12.09 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO), which lost 4.10% or 10.00 points to trade at 233.70 in late trade. AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) declined 3.88% or 13.50 points to end at 334.00 and Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) shed 3.78% or 1.40 points to 35.62.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 290 to 272 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.54% or 13.70 to $2,513.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.07% or 2.99 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 4.51% or 3.50 to trade at $74.02 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.40% to 34.02, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 37.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.75.
