Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Sports, Information Technology and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which rose 5.30% or 24.25 points to trade at 482.00 at the close. Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) added 2.47% or 0.88 points to end at 36.50 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) was up 2.41% or 4.90 points to 208.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bosch Fren Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BFREN), which lost 4.16% or 32.50 points to trade at 749.00 in late trade. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) declined 3.30% or 7.30 points to end at 213.90 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) shed 3.18% or 4.70 points to 143.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 385 to 171 and 20 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 2.35 to $2,525.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.71% or 0.50 to hit $69.84 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.60% or 0.44 to trade at $73.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 34.01, while EUR/TRY rose 0.37% to 37.69.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 101.31.
