Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE), which rose 4.09% or 0.200 points to trade at 5.090 at the close. Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) added 3.51% or 0.020 points to end at 0.590 and Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) was up 3.48% or 1.18 points to 35.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which lost 7.96% or 0.600 points to trade at 6.940 in late trade. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 6.34% or 0.390 points to end at 5.760 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) shed 4.85% or 2.60 points to 51.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 190 to 165 and 52 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.20 to $1228.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.73% or 0.40 to hit $54.23 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.33% or 0.21 to trade at $63.27 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 5.2872, while EUR/TRY fell 0.04% to 6.0402.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 96.415.
