Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which rose 6.24% or 20.00 points to trade at 340.50 at the close. Ard Grup Bilisim Teknolojileri AS (IS:ARDYZ) added 5.36% or 1.64 points to end at 32.24 and Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL) was up 5.02% or 1.88 points to 39.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which lost 3.60% or 0.78 points to trade at 20.86 in late trade. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 3.60% or 3.70 points to end at 99.00 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) shed 2.65% or 187.50 points to 6,875.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 375 to 180 and 27 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.45% or 12.40 to $2,793.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.47% or 1.66 to hit $68.87 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.33% or 1.65 to trade at $72.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.03% to 34.26, while EUR/TRY rose 0.34% to 37.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.93.
