Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Mineral Products, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER), which rose 10.00% or 4.52 points to trade at 49.74 at the close. Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT) added 9.99% or 1.36 points to end at 14.98 and Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) was up 9.94% or 0.78 points to 8.63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN), which lost 3.52% or 1.42 points to trade at 38.88 in late trade. Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) declined 3.44% or 11.50 points to end at 322.50 and Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji AS (IS:AKFYE) shed 3.39% or 0.90 points to 25.62.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 296 to 260 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.97% or 23.35 to $2,374.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.87% or 0.72 to hit $82.44 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.70% or 0.61 to trade at $85.93 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.25% to 32.72, while EUR/TRY rose 0.48% to 35.48.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 104.60.
