Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI), which rose 3.90% or 1.84 points to trade at 49.08 at the close. Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) added 3.31% or 1.95 points to end at 60.80 and AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) was up 2.88% or 9.25 points to 330.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which lost 4.71% or 0.94 points to trade at 19.01 in late trade. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) declined 2.98% or 0.48 points to end at 15.65 and Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT) shed 2.63% or 5.20 points to 192.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 286 to 266 and 23 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.41% or 10.45 to $2,542.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.95% or 0.72 to hit $74.81 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.02% or 0.80 to trade at $77.86 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.17% to 34.06, while EUR/TRY fell 0.41% to 37.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 100.86.
