Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 3.46% or 4.50 points to trade at 134.70 at the close. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 2.94% or 13.1 points to end at 459.4 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 2.92% or 5.74 points to 202.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 0.69% or 2.5 points to trade at 357.7 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.26% or 0.30 points to end at 114.25 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) shed 0.16% or 0.25 points to 152.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 379 to 243 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.88% or 1.45 to $51.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.91% or 1.13 to hit $60.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1232.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.42% to 10.3157, while USD/SEK rose 0.29% to 9.0636.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.735.
