Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), which rose 1.75% or 0.34 points to trade at 19.76 at the close. Acciona (BME:ANA) added 1.42% or 1.70 points to end at 121.80 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) was up 1.29% or 0.45 points to 35.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI), which lost 4.34% or 3.30 points to trade at 72.80 in late trade. Bankinter (BME:BKT) declined 3.00% or 0.23 points to end at 7.37 and Caixabank SA (BME:CABK) shed 1.92% or 0.10 points to 5.33.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 89 and 19 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.44% or 11.90 to $2,741.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.37% or 0.97 to hit $69.80 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.24% or 0.93 to trade at $74.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 104.05.
