Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Consumer Services and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Ferrovial (BME:FER), which rose 3.54% or 1.32 points to trade at 38.62 at the close. Fluidra (BME:FLUI) added 3.48% or 0.84 points to end at 24.96 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) was up 2.91% or 0.09 points to 3.04 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Caixabank SA (BME:CABK), which lost 2.45% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.10 in late trade. Amadeus IT (BME:AMA) declined 1.16% or 0.78 points to end at 66.30 and ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS) shed 0.29% or 0.07 points to 23.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 82 and 26 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 2.91% or 79.75 to $2,657.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.68% or 1.91 to hit $69.33 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 2.44% or 1.82 to trade at $72.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 107.01.
