Investing.com – Russia equities were mixed at the close on Monday, as gains in the Power, Manufacturing and Mining sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Telecom, Oil and Gas and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the RTSI rose 0.43%, while the MICEX index fell 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the RTSI were Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI), which rose 8.15% or 0.0448 points to trade at 0.5948 at the close. GidroOGK-011D (MCX:HYDR) added 6.08% or 0.0360 points to end at 0.6285 and FSK EES (MCX:FEES) was up 4.29% or 0.0028 points to 0.0680 in late trade.
Biggest losers included NOVATEK (MCX:NVTK), which lost 2.10% or 11.10 points to trade at 518.10 in late trade. PIK (MCX:PIKK) declined 2.06% or 4.10 points to end at 194.50 and MegaFon OAO (MCX:MFON) shed 1.92% or 20.00 points to 1020.00.
The top performers on the MICEX were Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) which rose 8.15% to 0.5948, GidroOGK-011D (MCX:HYDR) which was up 6.08% to settle at 0.6285 and FSK EES (MCX:FEES) which gained 4.29% to close at 0.0680.
The worst performers were NOVATEK (MCX:NVTK) which was down 2.10% to 518.10 in late trade, PIK (MCX:PIKK) which lost 2.06% to settle at 194.50 and MegaFon OAO (MCX:MFON) which was down 1.92% to 1020.00 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was down 0.28% or 3.40 to $1201.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude Oil for delivery in April fell 2.60% or 1.32 to hit $49.49 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract fell 1.05% or 0.64 to trade at $59.59 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 2.65% to 63.350, while EUR/RUB rose 2.10% to 71.885.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.61.
