Investing.com – Russia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Power, Mining and Oil and Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the RTSI fell 0.31%, while the MICEX index fell 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the RTSI were SG mechel (MCX:MTLR), which rose 5.33% or 2.36 points to trade at 46.60 at the close. MMK (MCX:MAGN) added 4.89% or 0.680 points to end at 14.580 and Sollers (MCX:SVAV) was up 4.82% or 17.0 points to 370.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FSK EES (MCX:FEES), which lost 6.17% or 0.0042 points to trade at 0.0643 in late trade. GidroOGK-011D (MCX:HYDR) declined 5.44% or 0.0331 points to end at 0.5749 and Bashneft ANK ao (MCX:BANE) shed 5.18% or 92.0 points to 1684.0.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 75 and 5 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was down 1.73% or 21.20 to $1205.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude Oil for delivery in April fell 2.20% or 1.18 to hit $52.49 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract fell 0.50% or 0.30 to trade at $61.09 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.49% to 62.892, while EUR/RUB fell 0.17% to 71.639.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 94.25.
