Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT), which rose 1.15% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.41 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) added 0.95% or 0.05 points to end at 5.30 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 0.82% or 0.06 points to 7.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 2.24% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.53 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 2.18% or 0.24 points to end at 10.79 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) shed 1.74% or 0.01 points to 0.44.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.26% or 0.19 to $73.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $69.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 17.70 to trade at $2,632.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 106.14.
