Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.96% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.77% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.1650 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 2.56% or 0.2200 points to end at 8.8300 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.57% or 0.0040 points to 0.7000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.63% or 0.0063 points to trade at 0.2336 in late trade. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 2.17% or 0.2550 points to end at 11.4950 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 1.94% or 0.220 points to 11.100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $84.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.30% or 0.22 to hit $74.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1204.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1509, while EUR/GBP fell 0.60% to 0.8789.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 95.39.
