Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which rose 1.59% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.45 at the close. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) added 1.17% or 0.04 points to end at 3.45 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.99% or 0.08 points to 8.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which lost 3.61% or 0.19 points to trade at 5.07 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 3.44% or 0.13 points to end at 3.54 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) shed 1.13% or 0.12 points to 10.53.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.21% or 0.88 to $73.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.32% or 0.91 to hit $69.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 14.50 to trade at $2,666.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 107.04.
