Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 2.24% or 0.12 points to trade at 5.24 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) added 2.21% or 0.05 points to end at 2.50 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) was up 1.64% or 0.01 points to 0.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 1.95% or 0.29 points to trade at 14.55 in late trade. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) declined 1.47% or 0.06 points to end at 3.90 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) shed 0.57% or 0.05 points to 8.71.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.40% or 1.09 to $78.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.60% or 1.18 to hit $74.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 7.10 to trade at $2,672.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 102.38.
