Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.13% or 0.0083 points to trade at 0.2737 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.17% or 0.0950 points to end at 8.2450 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 1.03% or 0.1650 points to 16.2500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which lost 4.26% or 0.400 points to trade at 9.000 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 1.70% or 0.1500 points to end at 8.6900 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 0.62% or 0.0200 points to 3.2000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.09% or 0.07 to $76.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.52% or 0.34 to hit $66.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1304.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1782, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.60.
