Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Services, Banking & Financials and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.69% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Emperador Inc (PS:EMP), which rose 2.82% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.300 at the close. Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) added 2.68% or 0.440 points to end at 16.840 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) was up 2.44% or 6.00 points to 252.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which lost 1.92% or 0.500 points to trade at 25.600 in late trade. LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) declined 1.12% or 0.200 points to end at 17.700 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) shed 1.07% or 0.50 points to 46.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 94 and 55 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.16% or 2.03 to $1273.83 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.32% or 0.16 to hit $50.62 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.07 to trade at $56.19 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.28% to 7.6787, while USD/PHP rose 0.03% to 51.106.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.52.
