Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 1.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 2.92% or 4.30 points to trade at 151.50 at the close. ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) added 0.84% or 0.37 points to end at 44.40 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was up 0.83% or 0.26 points to 31.43 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which lost 5.16% or 1.10 points to trade at 20.23 in late trade. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 4.58% or 5.40 points to end at 112.50 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) shed 4.39% or 35.90 points to 782.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 22 and 5 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.77% or 2.77 to $70.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 4.36% or 3.38 to hit $74.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 8.65 to trade at $2,518.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 101.76.
