Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 0.95% or 1.45 points to trade at 153.45 at the close. Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) added 0.52% or 0.16 points to end at 30.89 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was up 0.47% or 0.14 points to 29.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which lost 2.27% or 2.35 points to trade at 101.35 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.56% or 0.35 points to end at 22.13 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) shed 1.51% or 0.24 points to 15.37.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 27 and 10 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.86% or 1.28 to $69.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.53% or 1.12 to hit $74.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 5.75 to trade at $2,735.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 103.75.
