Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate, Healthcare and Construction & Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 1.25% or 0.42 points to trade at 33.53 at the close. IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) added 0.65% or 0.95 points to end at 147.80 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was up 0.58% or 0.18 points to 31.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which lost 3.13% or 3.80 points to trade at 117.80 in late trade. Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) declined 1.62% or 0.39 points to end at 23.63 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) shed 1.34% or 11.00 points to 812.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 51 to 51 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.40% or 1.82 to $74.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.89% or 1.49 to hit $77.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 23.65 to trade at $2,536.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 101.57.
