Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.73% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which rose 3.27% or 3.60 points to trade at 113.80 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 2.76% or 21.30 points to end at 792.00 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 2.40% or 13.80 points to 589.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD), which lost 3.50% or 1.09 points to trade at 30.07 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 0.71% or 0.16 points to end at 22.52 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) shed 0.41% or 0.26 points to 63.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 59 to 40 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.33% or 1.76 to $73.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.19% or 1.73 to hit $77.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 12.40 to trade at $2,663.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 103.03.
