Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc), which rose 1.24% or 1.90 points to trade at 154.70 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) added 1.19% or 1.30 points to end at 110.20 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) was up 1.11% or 0.26 points to 23.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which lost 0.82% or 0.95 points to trade at 115.05 in late trade. Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) declined 0.34% or 4.60 points to end at 1,361.60 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) shed 0.20% or 0.09 points to 45.19.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 67 to 32 and 13 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.75% or 0.57 to $75.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.67% or 0.53 to hit $78.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.43% or 37.65 to trade at $2,676.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.67.
