Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Construction & Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which rose 1.88% or 0.56 points to trade at 30.12 at the close. Prosus (AS:PRX) added 1.16% or 0.46 points to end at 39.72 and Exor NV (AS:EXOR) was up 1.04% or 1.00 points to 97.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd), which lost 3.33% or 0.54 points to trade at 15.67 in late trade. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 2.91% or 3.30 points to end at 110.25 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) shed 2.89% or 40.60 points to 1,362.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 60 to 38 and 12 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.17% or 2.84 to $71.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.85% or 2.76 to hit $74.46 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.03% or 27.30 to trade at $2,686.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 100.97.
