Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 2.85% or 420.00 points to trade at 15,170.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 1.80% or 120.00 points to end at 6,798.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 1.80% or 81.00 points to 4,570.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG), which lost 3.05% or 750.00 points to trade at 23,870.00 in late trade. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) declined 2.82% or 76.00 points to end at 2,615.00 and Enlight Ene (TASE:ENLT) shed 2.64% or 157.00 points to 5,789.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 287 to 140 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.14% or 0.10 to $73.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.26% or 0.20 to hit $77.40 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 10.65 to trade at $2,539.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.01% to 3.73, while EUR/ILS rose 0.98% to 4.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 101.25.
