Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Strauss Group (TASE:STRS), which rose 5.26% or 348.00 points to trade at 6,959.00 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 3.46% or 39.00 points to end at 1,166.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 3.30% or 5,940.00 points to 185,940.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT), which lost 3.80% or 1,040.00 points to trade at 26,320.00 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 2.71% or 171.00 points to end at 6,135.00 and Nova (TASE:NVMI) shed 2.02% or 1,330.00 points to 64,660.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 274 to 199 and 65 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.92% or 2.08 to $69.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.77% or 2.07 to hit $72.56 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 3.01% or 82.50 to trade at $2,654.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.57% to 3.64, while EUR/ILS fell 0.89% to 3.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 106.93.
