Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 7.84% or 5,690.00 points to trade at 78,230.00 at the close. Enlight Ene (TASE:ENLT) added 4.22% or 250.00 points to end at 6,170.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) was up 3.77% or 34.00 points to 935.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which lost 3.96% or 1,130.00 points to trade at 27,440.00 in late trade. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) declined 2.03% or 117.00 points to end at 5,638.00 and NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) shed 1.85% or 1,200.00 points to 63,600.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 289 to 153 and 97 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.98% or 0.74 to $75.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.64% or 0.50 to hit $78.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 19.20 to trade at $2,451.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.08% to 3.79, while EUR/ILS fell 0.22% to 4.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 103.13.
