Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Manufacturing and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.24% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Express Transindo Utama Tbk (JK:TAXI), which rose 34.71% or 42 points to trade at 163 at the close. Pelita Samudera Shipping Tbk PT (JK:PSSI) added 34.55% or 57 points to end at 222 and Bukit Darmo Property Tbk (JK:BKDP) was up 34.09% or 30 points to 118 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Duta Pertiwi Tbk (JK:DUTI), which lost 18.52% or 1000 points to trade at 4400 in late trade. Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Jasa Mitra Abadi Tbk PT (JK:JMAS) declined 18.48% or 170 points to end at 750 and Enseval Putra Megatrading Tbk (JK:EPMT) shed 18.22% or 470 points to 2110.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 195 to 151 and 130 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.29% or 0.18 to $62.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $66.11 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1312.50 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.07% to 13764.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.24% to 10629.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 89.70.
