Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Industry, Basic Industry and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 1.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Tira Austenite Tbk (JK:TIRA), which rose 34.59% or 46 points to trade at 179 at the close. Steady Safe TBK PT (JK:SAFE) added 30.21% or 58 points to end at 250 and Global Teleshop Tbk (JK:GLOB) was up 25.00% or 88 points to 440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intan Baruprana Finance Tbk (JK:IBFN), which lost 16.22% or 48 points to trade at 248 in late trade. Trust Finance Indonesia Tbk (JK:TRUS) declined 14.29% or 46 points to end at 276 and Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk (JK:INRU) shed 12.50% or 75 points to 525.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 231 to 163 and 128 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.67% or 0.31 to $46.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.10% or 0.62 to hit $56.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 1.95 to trade at $1251.65 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.27% to 14457.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.18% to 10435.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 96.360.
