Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Miscellaneous Industry and Infrastructure sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite gained 0.52% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Jasa Mitra Abadi Tbk PT (JK:JMAS), which rose 23.63% or 215 points to trade at 1125 at the close. Sentra Food Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:FOOD) added 15.25% or 54 points to end at 408 and Logindo Samudramakmur Tbk (JK:LEAD) was up 14.29% or 9 points to 72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bayu Buana Tbk (JK:BAYU), which lost 25.00% or 625 points to trade at 1875 in late trade. Reliance Securities Tbk (JK:RELI) declined 22.08% or 68 points to end at 240 and Multipolar Technology Tbk (JK:MLPT) shed 20.88% or 190 points to 720.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 258 to 155 and 140 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.82% or 0.43 to $53.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.65% or 0.40 to hit $62.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.50 to trade at $1292.90 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.04% to 14045.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.53% to 10148.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 94.938.
