Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 2.67% or 0.20 points to trade at 7.70 at the close. Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) added 1.53% or 0.03 points to end at 1.66 and Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr) was up 1.50% or 0.16 points to 10.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which lost 4.40% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.30 in late trade. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) declined 3.27% or 0.31 points to end at 9.18 and Intrakat Technikon Kai Energeiakon Ergon AE (AT:INCr) shed 2.76% or 0.14 points to 4.76.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 44 and 23 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.86% or 22.80 to $2,643.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.46% or 3.44 to hit $73.70 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.32% or 3.50 to trade at $77.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.33.
