Investing.com – Germany equities were mixed at the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Transportation & Logistics and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Construction, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.09% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index declined 0.22%, and the TecDAX index lost 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn), which rose 1.99% or 0.62 points to trade at 31.80 at the close. Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:DHLn) added 1.33% or 0.52 points to end at 39.72 and Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) was up 1.27% or 6.20 points to 495.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which lost 4.73% or 11.80 points to trade at 237.60 in late trade. Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) declined 3.11% or 0.73 points to end at 22.71 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) shed 2.69% or 14.60 points to 527.40.
The top performers on the MDAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG) which rose 3.32% to 3.30, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which was up 2.83% to settle at 2.36 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which gained 2.02% to close at 88.82.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 6.32% to 31.74 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which lost 3.82% to settle at 121.00 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 3.11% to 16.81 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which rose 2.31% to 142.00, Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn) which was up 1.21% to settle at 26.68 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) which gained 1.08% to close at 199.86.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 6.32% to 31.74 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which lost 4.73% to settle at 237.60 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which was down 3.34% to 15.07 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 319 to 298 and 38 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.58% to 14.26.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 6.10 to $2,533.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.92% or 0.68 to hit $74.23 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.70% or 0.54 to trade at $77.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 101.62.
